Through my experience as a Reiki Master and Sound Therapist I have
created a unique combination of Sound Therapy and Reiki called Sonic
Reiki. It represents a holistic approach to healing that incorporates
the use of both Reiki energy and sound frequencies to promote
well-being and balance.
My Sonic Reiki sound bath can provide several benefits:

I offer one to one Sonic Reiki sound baths. I also offer personalised
sound baths for couples, group or corporate team building events by
request.

*Sonic Reiki sound bath
This one-to-one treatment is the perfect way to de-stress and relax.
You lay fully clothed on a special massage bed cocooned in comfort. We
move into guided breathing and meditation techniques you can use
whilst the harmonic sounds surround you. Reiki is an integral part of
this treatment to help to balance body, mind, and spirit.

*Taster Sound Bath
This taster sound bath is a great way to experience the healing sounds
of the gong and singing bowls. You can choose to be seated or lay on
the massage bed.

This energy technique session may help to reduce anxiety, pain, and
fatigue. Mood boosting and non-invasive.

*Couples Sound Bath
This treatment is excellent for couples, family members, friends etc
who want to enjoy a deeply relaxing and empowering experience. You lay
on a comfortable Thai mattress cocooned in layers of blankets in a
unique environment. The harmonic sounds of the gong, along with my
other sound instruments fully relax and bring a feeling of peace and
calm.

My name is Diane Burns and I was born in the north of England. I am a
Reiki Master and Sound Therapist. Until my relocation to Arnhem, I
lived in Folkestone, an English town by the sea. Me together with my
husband, Louie and our three boys had built a beautiful life together
filled with love and dreams for the future.
But fate intervened.
One day in 2020, tragedy struck without warning, Louie suddenly passed
away. The huge loss left me shattered, my soul engulfed in an ocean of
grief. In my quest for healing, I visited a friend in Amsterdam, a
sound therapist. He told me the best thing for me was a sound bath.
Intrigued by the idea, I decided to trust, hoping to find peace within
the session. Little did I know that this encounter would change the
course of my life forever.
As I stepped into the sound bath studio, I didn’t know what to expect.
The ambient studio was filled with musical flutes, beautiful singing
bowls and gongs. As I lay on the massage bed the session began, gentle
vibrations of the instruments resonated with my heart, reaching deep
within my being.
With each frequency, I could feel a glimmer of hope flickering. The
melodic sounds enveloped me, momentarily easing the pain of my loss. I
could sense Louie’s presence in the ethereal symphony, as if he was
whispering words of comfort to my wounded soul. As soon as the session
was over I knew that I had found my vocation.
Driven by my newfound passion, I embarked on a journey of healing and
self-discovery. I immersed myself in the world of sound therapy,
learning about the various instruments and their healing properties. I
attended workshops, studied with seasoned practitioners, and honed my
own skills as a sound therapist. I invested in a 100cm KOAN hand
beaten gong from a Gong Master in the Netherlands. The frequency of
the gong was tuned to my soul path. I collected both crystal singing
bowls from the Himalayas and brass singing bowls from Tibet, France
and the Netherlands. I learnt how to play the American Indian flute to
create soothing sounds and a crystal harp which sounds so ethereal.
In 2021 I opened my own studio in Folkestone to share the healing
power of sound with others. Creating a safe space for people to
embrace the transformative energies of sound. I started my studies in
Reiki in 2020, becoming a Reiki master in 2022. I developed a unique
style of sound bath with Reiki which I call Sonic Reiki.
As word spread about my transformative Sonic Reiki sound baths, my
humble studio became a sanctuary. My own healing journey intertwined
with the stories of those I help. My true purpose felt real, leading
me to embrace a new chapter of my life relocating to Arnhem, finding
love and continuing my journey with sound and Reiki.
By discovering the healing power of sound, I have found in my own
tragedy a testament of resilience and the enduring power of the human
spirit. It is my purpose to bring that healing to others.
